RecallIt Support
Find practical guidance for saving, organizing, and finding your links—or learn what to include when reporting a problem.
No fixed response time is currently promised.
Saving a link
Open RecallIt and use the app’s save action. Enter or paste an HTTP or HTTPS link, review the title or notes, choose a Collection if helpful, and confirm the save. RecallIt stores the item in its local SQLite library.
Fetch link previews is enabled by default. After saving, RecallIt may contact the saved website and its image host, or YouTube’s thumbnail host for a supported YouTube URL. Turn the setting off under Settings to prevent new preview requests. Saving succeeds even when previews are disabled, offline, or unavailable.
Searching saved content
Use RecallIt’s search field to find locally stored items. Search works without an account and its core behavior is available offline. Recent search phrases may be kept locally as an app preference and can be cleared where that option is available.
Collections, Favorites, and Archive
Collections
Create Collections to group related saved items and add or remove items as your library changes.
Favorites
Mark important items as Favorites for easier access.
Archive and Restore
Archive moves an item out of your active view without deleting it. Restore returns it. Deleting an item is permanent.
Editing an item
Open a saved item and choose the edit action to update its URL, title, description, notes, or organization details. Review your changes before saving them.
Local data, export, restore, and data loss
Android automatic cloud backup and device-transfer backup are disabled. Before uninstalling, clearing data, or moving devices, open Settings → Backup and restore and choose Export encrypted backup. Select a strong password, retain it separately, and choose a safe location in Android’s document picker. RecallIt cannot recover a lost password.
Restore validates the encrypted .recallit file and replaces the current local library. Export the current library first if you may need it. Downloaded preview images are not included and may be recreated only when previews are enabled and the device is online.
Advertising and privacy choices
Eligible screens may display restrained banner ads supplied by Google Mobile Ads. RecallIt uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request consent information where required and to show privacy choices when Google reports they are available.
Where available, review advertising privacy choices from RecallIt Settings. Device-level advertising controls may also apply. Saved library content is not provided to the advertising layer. See the Privacy Policy advertising section for details.
